Plaster work in Worcestershire
Worcestershire's buildings range from timber-framed medieval houses in the Vale of Evesham to Italianate villas and Victorian country houses. Our work in the county has encompassed the conservation of decorative plaster work in listed villas and the sympathetic reinstatement of lime finishes in sixteenth-century timber-framed buildings.

Buildings we work with
Timber-framed medieval houses, brick Georgian townhouses, Italianate Victorian villas, country estates and ecclesiastical buildings. Many are listed, and the county's conservation officers expect traditional materials and methods throughout.
Materials and approach
Timber-framed buildings require lime plaster on lath to allow the frame to breathe and move. Decorative plaster work in later buildings is conserved using lime-based repair materials and, where enrichments are lost, cast from moulds taken from surviving ornament.
