The Cotswolds is defined by its warm limestone, its market towns and its unbroken tradition of building in solid masonry. For historic buildings across the AONB, lime plaster and traditional finishes are not a stylistic choice but a practical necessity, allowing solid walls to breathe and move with the seasons.

Gloucestershire spans the Cotswold uplands, the Severn Vale and the Forest of Dean, a breadth of landscape that is reflected in its buildings. From medieval timber-framing in the west to Regency stucco in Cheltenham and industrial mills in Stroud, the county's historic fabric demands a practice comfortable with many traditions.

Cheltenham's Regency architecture is among the finest in England, with stucco facades, ornate cornices and ceiling roses defining the principal rooms of its listed terraces and villas. Much of the original decorative plaster work survives beneath later decoration, and our work in the town has focused on revealing, conserving and sensitively completing these schemes.
Stroud
Gloucestershire
Stroud and its valleys hold one of the most significant concentrations of Georgian and Victorian industrial buildings in the South West. The former mills, warehouses and administrative buildings of the woollen industry contain decorative plaster work of surprising ambition, and their conservation requires both an understanding of industrial heritage and the craft skills to reinstate damaged ornament.
Worcestershire
West Midlands
Worcestershire's buildings range from timber-framed medieval houses in the Vale of Evesham to Italianate villas and Victorian country houses. Our work in the county has encompassed the conservation of decorative plaster work in listed villas and the sympathetic reinstatement of lime finishes in sixteenth-century timber-framed buildings.
